Owners

Jackie Sturgeon has been serving the Louisville area for 37 years. He has been the co-owner and president of Blades Salon and Spa for 34 years. Jackie is the founder of Cool Cuts, a local non-profit organization providing wigs and hairpieces for children experiencing medical challenges. He is a highly trained master stylist in cutting and color, also mastering many other areas of his craft such as all types of extensions, wigs, toupees, and prosthetics for men and women. Jackie has appeared on television several times and been featured in many magazine articles. Jackie has a passion for his work and it shows.

Tim Simmons has served the Louisville area for 34 years as a master stylist. With a strong background in haircutting and hair color design, he provides the ultimate hair experience. Tim is involved in educating new associates in the salon and is the salon technologies coordinator.

Kate Mann was instrumental in the founding of Blades Salon and Spa in 1977, after only five years in the business. Loving the industry and adding education in color analysis and face and body shapes, Kate's goal is to assist clients in creating a look that expresses their personality, life style and also provides them with a 'total look.' One of self confidence and pride. Kate feels priviledged to share her passion for her profession with others. She is very proud of the stylists that Blades has helped in the launching of their careers. Kate finds satisfaction in what Blades has always been and continues to become.
